Three types of booked conference:
Dial-In
The users dial in to the conference themselves. At the booked time of the conference, the bridge will send an IM message to the booked participants with a message saying that it is ready, and the conferencing unit will be activated.
Dial-out
At conference start time, the bridge will dial out to the scheduled participants.
Explode
When the first participant calls into the conference, the bridge automatically calls the other participants.
Two modes of audio processing:
Mixed
The four loudest participants are mixed together (but they will not hear themselves talking). This is the default audio mode and also referred to as CP (Continuous Presence).
Fixed
Only one user is allowed to send audio to the others. This is useful for broadcasting lectures amongst others.
Three modes to schedule video processing:
Mixed
The picture will be divided in four quarter-pictures, where the four loudest speakers are placed. This is the default video mode and also referred to as CP (Continuous Presence).
Fixed
The picture will not be divided, and there is a fixed source of video (only one user is allowed to send video to the others). This is useful for broadcasting lectures amongst others.
Switched
The full image of the loudest speaker is shown in the picture frame. The switching of users in the picture frame has been given some delay to the audio in order to avoid random noise (coughing etc) from taking the camera. This is also called VA - Voice Activated.
