PANE has been developed to help organizations efficiently test and verify solutions in different firewall, NAT, web proxy and network environments. Traffic between two communicating entities can instantly be routed across different paths – each containing a network device and with configurable network delay, jitter and packet loss. A path in PANE consists of an emulated or physical network device. A multitude of paths can be configured in one PANE installation.
PANE consists of a set of predefined paths that emulates different NAT and firewall types, including symmetric, port restricted, and UDP-blocked. Other emulators can be configured. In addition, PANE paths can utilize physical network devices from different firewall and NAT vendors.
Any IP-based application on any device and operating system can connect to and utilize PANE.
